Method 

Preparation

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture. Wrap the firm tofu in a clean kitchen towel, place a weight on top, and let it sit for about 15 minutes.
  2. Slice the pressed tofu into thick pieces, approximately ¾ inch each.
  3. Whisk together the marinade ingredients in a large bowl until well combined.
  4. Marinate the sliced tofu by placing it in a shallow dish and pouring the marinade over the top. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Arrange the marinated tofu on a lined baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Brush BBQ sauce on each slice of tofu and return to the oven, baking for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  8. Rest the tofu ham for a few minutes before slicing.
  9. Slice the tofu ham into thinner pieces for serving.
