This easy homemade pizza recipe is perfect for family dinners, weekend snacks, kids’ lunch ideas or movie nights at home. It has a soft base, cheesy topping and simple ingredients that make it better than regular frozen pizza.
You can use your favorite toppings like chicken, vegetables, olives, mushrooms or extra cheese.
Ingredients
For Pizza Dough
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons oil
- ¾ cup warm water
For Topping
- ½ cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup cooked chicken or vegetables
- ¼ cup capsicum
- ¼ cup onion
- ¼ cup olives
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon chili flakes
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, yeast, sugar and salt.
- Add oil and warm water slowly. Knead until a soft dough forms.
- Cover the dough and let it rest for 45 minutes or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat your oven to 200°C / 400°F.
- Roll the dough into a round pizza base and place it on a baking tray.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly on the base.
- Add mozzarella cheese, chicken or vegetables, capsicum, onion and olives.
- Sprinkle oregano and chili flakes on top.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes or until the cheese melts and the crust turns golden.
- Slice and serve hot.
Tips
- Use warm water, not hot water, for the dough.
- Let the dough rest properly for a soft base.
- Do not overload the pizza with too many toppings.
- Add extra cheese for a better cheesy texture.
