Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef , (85/15  or leaner)
  • 1 small onion, grated 
  • 1 packet onion soup mix  , (such as Lipton)
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 
  • 1 12 ct package Hawaiian slider rolls 
  • ½ tablespoon everything bagel seasoning 
  • 4 tablespoon melted butter 
  • 2 cloves minced garlic 
  • 6 slices Colby jack cheese 
  • 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese 

Burger Sauce 

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon pickle relish 
  • 2 tablespoon ketchup 
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard 
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder 

Instructions

  • 1. Cut rolls in half, separating tops and bottoms. Place on a cookie sheet, and place under oven’s broiler on high for 1-3 minutes, until lightly toasted. Transfer to parchment lined sheet, Place sliced Colby cheese on bottom buns, and set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2. In a large mixing bowl, mix beef with onion soup mix and grated onion until just combined. (do not overmix).
  • 3. In a medium/large frying pan or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat, spread meat in an even layer, and brown the beef for 3-4 minutes undisturbed, then flip and cook utill brown, breaking up into small pieces as you go, about 4 minutes more.
  • 4. Add Worcestershire sauce and cook 2 minutes, stirring well.
  • 5. Transfer cooked meat evenly over Colby cheese and bottom buns, using a slotted spoon leaving any grease and liquid behind.
  • 6. Top burger mixture with grated cheddar, and place on top bun layer.
  • 7. Mix garlic and butter together, and brush top buns with melted butter garlic mixture. Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
  • 8. Bake in preheated oven on parchment lined sheet for 15-20 minutes, until just toasty and cheese is melted.
  • 9. Mix dip together while they bake.
  • 10. Slice and serve with burger sauce.
