Preparation
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture. Wrap the firm tofu in a clean kitchen towel, place a weight on top, and let it sit for about 15 minutes.
- Slice the pressed tofu into thick pieces, approximately ¾ inch each.
- Whisk together the marinade ingredients in a large bowl until well combined.
- Marinate the sliced tofu by placing it in a shallow dish and pouring the marinade over the top. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the marinated tofu on a lined baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Brush BBQ sauce on each slice of tofu and return to the oven, baking for an additional 10-15 minutes.
