These Healthy Twix Bites are a clean, homemade twist on the classic candy bar. With a nutty oat-almond base, creamy tahini caramel, and rich dark chocolate shell, they’re indulgent yet nourishing—perfect for guilt-free snacking or dessert.
Healthy Twix Bites Recipe
Ingredients
For the base
- 70g oat flour
- 50g ground almonds
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 3 tbsp coconut oil
For the caramel
- 80ml tahini
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- pinch of salt
For the chocolate shell
- 150g dark chocolate
Instructions
- Mix the oat flour, ground almonds and salt in a bowl, then pour in the maple syrup and melted coconut oil. Mix to form a dough.
- Divide between 9 mini cupcake bases and press down with a small spoon (I use a measuring teaspoon).
- Mix the tahini, maple syrup and salt in another bowl and pour over the bases. Freeze until completely set.
- Once frozen, gently remove from the moulds and dip in melted dark chocolate. Alternatively you can place on a fork and drizzle melted chocolate on top with a spoon.
- Refrigerate until set and enjoy!
